Children’s Church Is Back!

Children’s Church occurs during the Worship Service.  When called by the pastor, children come to the front of the church and sit on the front steps.  The pastor gives a children’s sermon which addresses the Bible verses for the Worship Service.  Children are then excused to stay in Worship or go out to Children’s Church.  At Children’s Church, more is told about the Bible story or verses, often accompanied by a crafts activity.  As of August 8, Children’s Church is being held outside when children are excused from the worship service.

Children have a vital role at Lynnewood UMC.  Hands on activities include building a Children’s Cross at Easter and participating in volunteer projects like Rise Against Hunger.

Covid-19 – During this time, children who are in church can attend Children’s Church,  The worship service is also available on zoom or watched through YouTube.
