Zoom Instructions for Online Worship

For the time being, bible studies and worship services will be held through Zoom, an online video conferencing program. There are no passwords and Zoom access is free.

If you plan to use Zoom on your smart phone, download the Zoom app from the appropriate app store before you use any of the links in our WorSHIP (SHelter In Place) email.  The app is free.

Instructions for Audio-Phone only Zoom access:

If you are using a phone or laptop that does have a camera/video, speaker and microphone go to next section and follow the Instructions for Audio-Visual Laptop or Smart Phone Access instructions please.

If your device does not have a microphone or speaker, then you will need to dial in to phone number (669) 900-6833 and enter the meeting ID for the event that you are joining.  The phone call is free.  You will be able to hear and speak on the meeting.  Remember to mute your phone if there is background noise.

If you have a phone and a computer that does not have speakers, dial in to speak and hear and also do the Instructions for Audio-Visual Laptop or Smart Phone Access in order to see.  You will be logged on twice, once with audio and once with visual.

Instructions for Audio-Visual Laptop or Smart Phone Access:

For smart phone devices, you may need to download the Zoom app from the appropriate app store before you use any of the “click here” links shown below.  It’s free.

If you have a newer laptop or smart phone, then you likely have the ability to Zoom with audio and video.  Most smart phones and newer laptops have microphones, speakers and cameras.

To join the study, click the underlined here next to the event that you are joining then follow the instructions.  You may be asked to click Open the Zoom Meeting, see the screen shot below.

When joining a meeting you (may) have to go through a few steps to select “video” and then to select “audio”.

After you are into the Zoom event, your picture may not show yet.  That means that your camera is off.  Run your mouse in the lower left corner and click the camera icon to turn off and on your camera.

If others cannot hear you, that means your microphone is turned off.  Run your mouse in the lower left corner to turn the speaker icon off and on.
