Whenever Christians meet together to share what is important about their faith and relationships, we believe God is present. This holy connection can happen on a church committee, on a community service project, on a United Methodist Volunteers in Mission trip, or on a Trustees’ work day sprucing up the church. It happens regularly by singing in our choir (a close-knit group that cares about one another) or by joining our Stephen Ministry team (those who offer listening to others in crisis). Special connections also happen when people help one another, by bringing over a meal, providing transportation, or offering career counseling. “For where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, I am there among them” (Matthew 18:20).
