An exercise class designed for those with Parkinson’s and others with mobility challenges
Regular exercise improves and maintains mobility, flexibility, range of motion, balance, and a positive perspective on life. While this class is specifically designed to address the challenges of Parkinson’s, the approach and content are also applicable to other mobility issues. A good portion of the work is done with the stability of sitting in a chair and emphasizes balance using walking poles and holding onto a chair or wall as needed. We work on strength, coordination, stretching, and gait. With guidance for modifications, you work at your own level to achieve your goals. Caregivers and spouses are also encouraged to participate.
Cost: $5/class for members of Lynnewood and $7/class for non-members
The first class if free. Come and try it out!
